A Mental Health Blog

Welcome to my blog. Designed and made by yours truly. Written truthfully, if not at times brutally. It is here that I’ll be as honest as I possibly can be, with no airs or graces or reason to lie. By sharing with whoever may read this my very own, firsthand experience with my own mental health struggles.

Welcome To My Blog

I truly intend for my own story to hopefully in some way, just possibly, help another. Mental health has such a stigma around it, to which I intend to try and make an impact towards breaking down. I have no set criteria as to who my target audience is, as crazy as that might sound given the fact I’m mentioning mental health. But just like mental health having no boundaries as to who it can consume, I have no limitations as to who reads my own story.

Trigger Warning

THIS is your one and only warning for what potential triggers may lay ahead, so buckle up and brace yourself. I don’t need any sympathy as this is not my cry for help. This is ME simply offering YOU the opportunity to branch out and talk, as well as making you aware that you are NOT alone, speaking from firsthand experience. To know that it is okay to talk about those thoughts or feelings many may not know how to talk about or even how to respond to.

Reach Out

For anyone fighting their own mental health struggles, please know that you’re not the first to be possibly feeling what you are and, unfortunately, won’t be the last to feel those very same feelings. For what I’m about to write, I write with not only my love but also my understanding.

“Honesty is not always easy, but it is the path to self-discovery and self-improvement. It requires courage, vulnerability, and a commitment to personal growth.”

Surrey's Most Inspirational Man for IMD 2025

Nicholas: “I was very touched and overwhelmed to be asked to feature in this year’s Surrey Rocks – November 2025 edition! Within this feature I answer six questions regarding myself and that of mental health. Not to mention being given the title of being one of “Surreys Positive Male Inspirations for 2025!!!” Men’s mental health is at an all time high, so by being able to share my story and answer some questions for Surrey Rocks, I truly hope helps another! Be it male or female, mental health is real. A massive thank you to Surrey Rocks, you have my appreciation and gratitude!”

International Men's Day

Every year, International Men’s Day (IMD) is marked around the world on the 19th November 2025. The main objectives or be it the “Six Pillars” as they are known, for International Men’s Day goes as follows:

• To promote positive male role models; not just movie stars and sports men but everyday, working-class men who are living decent, honest lives.

• To celebrate men’s positive contributions to society, community, family, marriage, childcare and the environment.

• To focus on men’s health and well-being including social, emotional, physical, and spiritual.

• To highlight discrimination against men in areas of social services, social attitudes and expectations and law.

• To improve gender relations and to promote gender equality.

• To create a safer, better world, where people can be safe and grow to reach their full potential.
